10x10 challenge-Summary

Today is the last day of my 10x10 challenge and all and all I was pretty happy with my choices. The small capsule worked and I used it 8 of 10 days. The 2 days I didn’t wear the 10x10 items was due to practical reason and not because I was fed up with what I chose. I didn’t have clothes for working in the yard or hiking in the 10x10 challenge, which was what I did the 2 days I didn’t dress as planned. Day 1

This is one of my favorite outfits in this challenge. It has the right colors (of course), and also the right Contrast level for me as a contrasting. It also works without the blazer. Absolutely going to wear this combination again.

Day 2

I absolutely love this color combination. Since I have a high contrast also in my personal coloring I can pull off a Triadic color scheme like this. The purple color has been added to my closet this year, I can see it works really well with the rest of my colors. Definitely a good addition to my closet.

Day 3

Another great color combination, the purple and olive green is complimentary colors. Complimentary colors works really well together and is a color scheme which works great for me.

Day 4

In this outfit the scarf is the star. It was given to me by a friend a couple of years ago, originally it was her mum’s. I use this scarf a lot, it goes with just about everything. The actual day I wore this outfit I wore rye jeans and not the sweat pants.

Day 5

The actual outfit I wore on day 5 was with the jeans and not the olive pants. I had a nasty eyelid infection during my 10x10 challenge, so I didn’t take the pictures the actual day. Luckily I had taken pictures of most outfits before I got the eye infection. I liked the option with the jeans more as it works better with my contrast level. Monochromatic can be a bit dull for me unless it’s brighter colors. The pattern in the blouse saves it.

Day 6

Another outfit with the Triadic color scheme I’ve fallen in love with. The jacket is faux suede so it’s quite soft and comfy.

Day 7

Another outfit where the scarf is the star. I could have been more invent full and uses another scarf. Still really like this outfit, it’s very comfortable and relaxed.

Day 8

Ah well, this was an outfit I ended up not wearing as I was working in our yard this day and needed something warmer and more practical. I think jeans would have been a better option with this outfit, so I’m definitely going to try that out.

Day 9

Yet another day without wearing any of the outfits from the 10x10. Hubby and I packed the backpack and went hiking. I could have worn one of these outfits, the right one I know works, the left needs to be tried on.

Day 10

I finished off in one of my favorite color combinations. Not sure if I like the fit of the jacket with this dress, it might also be the way I stand in the picture which skews it off. I have to retake pics of this to see if it’s a good combination or not.

I have done these 10x10 a couple of times, and I feel I’m getting better at choosing the pieces I want to wear. Normally I’ve chosen more neutral pieces and added color with the accessories. I was pleased to see that the colors worked great together. I could never have done this kind of color combinations without my color fan or my knowledge about color schemes and what works for my body type.
